“Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of sharing the stage with Girls Next Door a few times while working with The Fox Brothers. Most recently, they performed in Nashville at our Sunday Mornin’ Country event held during CMA week at The Grand Ole Opry House. As the producer of this show, I have to say that every time I’ve watched the Girls Next Door onstage, I see four wonderful entertainers who have great audience appeal, harmony, talent, and energy. 1980’s Country music group, Girls Next Door, rose to fame with chart-topping hits like Slow Boat to China and Love Will Get You Through Times of No Money. The girls released music from MTM Records and Atlantic Records. During this time they shared the stage with many greats like, The Oak Ridge Boys, Lee Greenwood, The Statler Brothers, and George Jones at The Kennedy Center for Performing Arts in Washington, DC.
Despite a hiatus spent raising families, and navigating life’s challenges, including two of the members battling cancer, the group believes that their reunion is part of God’s greater purpose. It is no coincidence that these women have remained dear friends for 40 years and rekindled their rich harmonies.
Doris, Cindy, Tammy, and Diane each have a strong testimony and when brought together it is a beautiful story of faith, hope, and redemption. Their enduring friendship, musical synergy, and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ have sustained them.
